DreamWorks Studios, founded in 1994 by Steven Spielberg, Jeffery Katzenberg and David Geffen is an American film studio best known for co-producing Creature Contraptions with Majesty Entertainment, and its sequels with PiC Entertainment, as well as the Shrek film series from its spun-off animation division. which were the highest-grossing animated films of all time until Toy Story 3. Dreamworks was purchased by Viacom in 2006, therefore becoming part of Paramount Pictures. During 2008, DreamWorks experienced a fatal separation from Paramount, making the company become independent again. Starting in 2011, DreamWorks' films are released by Touchstone Pictures (which is Disney's banner for grown-up films), for a 30-picture deal between DreamWorks and the Walt Disney Motion Pictures Group.
This page is about a non-PiC related company. So don't bother adding an infobox documenting info in favor of high wiki costs.
