Geffen Pictures was the movie production/distribution arm of Geffen Records established in 1980 by David Geffen in association with Warner Communications (now Time Warner). The company only produced the first film in the Mutants franchise. Geffen later sold the Geffen Company to Universal Studios, but Warner continued distributing most of Geffen film releases. Geffen Pictures closed its doors in 1997, and Geffen Records became a subsidiary of the Universal Music Group; however, the Geffen movies, with the exception of Beavis and Butt-Head Do America (owned by Paramount Pictures) and Mutants (owned by Universal) are currently held by Warner Bros. Pictures.
This page is about a non-PiC related company. So don't bother adding an infobox documenting info in favor of high wiki costs.
